These Dreams

Hand in hand, I walk with you with eyes closed
Wishing that this would never end
Afraid that when I do open my eyes
I will hold nothing but air

The sound of your laugh
The wrinkles on your face when you smile
Your eyes, deep, and full of soul
Your touch, flowing on every inch of my skin

Time with you doesn't seem to start
It feels like nothing moves when I'm around with you
Endless, just you and me
Your whispers is all I could hear

When your lips touch mine
No one could ever own me but you
When you say my name in tune with yours
It's as if I was made just for you

Inside of me, I always knew
That you will be mine forever
Every part of me, yearns for you
This heart will not beat if not for you

I wonder If forever does exist
'Cause now I am sitting all alone on my bed
Cursing myself for waking up
Asking myself, Can I just dream forever?

I try again to regain unconsciousness
To reach the far ends of a fantasy not mine
Hoping you'd come back
And touch me again in my slumber

Maybe tomorrow when I wake up
I will once more see your face
Not a dream, but for real
Whispering in my ear, 'I am here'

Now I cry myself to sleep
No matter what I desire
I can not escape the bitter truth
That I can only be with you in my dreams
